Every November our nation takes time to honor and remember the Military Families that hold down the home front while their service persons keep all of us safe. We at Flags on Cars want to Honor you as well – I put together a few words of thanks and remembrance – from all of us to all of you… (because, unfortunately, they don’t make greeting cards for Military Families Month?).

To All Those Left Behind…

To the friends and family of our Military,

Those who wait, and wonder,

eager for an email, a word, a call

dreading a knock at the door…

so our friends and families can sleep in peace each night.

To the Moms and Dads,

Those whose babies make up our Military

whose love and support keeps them strong

and who wait, with bated breath, while their babies are away

so other Moms and Dads can safely hug loved ones…

To the Fiancés, Wives and Husbands

Those who pull double duty,

the un-enlisted who live the military life

and somehow maintain relationships over an absence of months and years,

so other Fiancés, Wives and Husbands can sleep together every night…

To the Children and Grandchildren

Those who wave at Skype screens

and video baseball games and dance recitals

who miss their Moms and Dads every day,

so other Children and Grandchildren can grow up in Freedom…

To all those left behind,

when our Service persons go to give their all
